Ahead of its grand opening, Black-Owned Brunswick partnered with Brown Butter Shoppe to host "Black on the Block," where Black business owners previewed the new store and enjoyed eats from Street Eatz, a local Black-owned food truck.

Ujamaa BWK was a dynamic conference designed to foster networking and celebrate Black visionaries within the Brunswick community. Organized by Opportunity Uplifted, the event brought together Coastal Today Magazine, the Abbott Institute, and Black-Owned Brunswick to create a space for collaboration and inspiration. Together, these partners spotlighted local achievements, encouraged cooperative economics, and empowered attendees to build a stronger, more connected future.
